RULES & REGULATIONS
WELCOME TO MOUNTAIN LAKES RESORT- “WHERE FAMILY MEETS FUN”
Mountain Lakes Resort is a friendly, family vacation resort and we are happy that you have chosen
to spend your leisure time with us. Please be assured that none of these rules are meant to
prevent you from enjoying your stay in Mountain Lakes, but are designed to
ensure the safety, courtesies, and comfort of everyone.
1. GENERAL: Mountain Lakes Club, Inc. (Hereinafter referred to as “The Club”) is the Georgia Corporation
that is responsible for administration of the recreational property and amenities/facilities made available for
the owners/members/guests at Mountain Lakes Resort. The recreational property and amenities/facilities
currently include horseback riding, paddle boats, fishing boats, water slide, swimming pools, beach, fishing
lake (no license required), dock, boat ramp, basketball court, miniature golf, playground, hiking trails,
horseshoe pits, pavilions general store, diner and clubhouse. Each individual must know and follow these
Rules & Regulations, as well as, special rules posted at certain amenities/facilities. (e.g. pools, boats,
stables, hot tub, etc).
2. USE OF FACILITES: The use of the facilities named above is available for Club Members and their
guest ONLY. Each Member will be issued a laminated Mountain Lakes Club I.D. Card. This card should
be kept with the assigned member at all times to gain admittance into the resort and into all recreational
facilities, and is for use ONLY by the person named on the I.D. card. THE CLUB CARD REMAINS THE
PROPERTY OF MOUNTAIN LAKES CLUB and can be confiscated by Club staff at any time. (There will
be a $20.00 charge to replace lost or stolen cards and yearly decals.) Club membership allows for a total
of four laminated club cards per each membership number. All owner/members listed on deed/contract will
receive a laminated card not to exceed a total of (4) laminated club cards. A family membership is where a
husband and wife only are listed on the deed/contract. With this membership, all children under the age of
21, unmarried and still living at home will be entitled to a club card. In some situations, documents may be
required. (example: adoption, custody of minor, medical circumstance, etc.) For immediate family members,
we have season passes available. This pass would be for children, grandchildren, parents, grandparents,
son-in-law or daughter-in-law. Only member(s) listed on deed/contract will be allowed to add a season pass
holder to membership.
PLEASE NOTE: PICTURE IDENTIFICATION WILL BE REQUIRED ALONG WITH MOUNTAIN LAKES
CLUB CARD FOR ENTRY TO AMENITIES FACILITIES.
3. HOURS OF OPERATION: Specific hours of operation will be posted at certain amenities. Generally, the
Recreational Property is available seven (7) days a week. Particular amenities may be restricted in use to
times different from other amenities and will be appropriately posted.
4. NO CLUB RESPONSIBILITY: Mountain Lakes Club, Inc. (The “Club”) is not liable for lost, stolen or
damaged property of those who use the Recreational Property. The Club is not responsible for any personal
property left on the Club premises or in vehicles parked on the Club premises. All persons using the Club do
so at their own risk. The Club does not assume any responsibility from or out of the use of the Recreational
Property or the facilities thereon located or from engaging in any Club activity.
5. MEMBERS RESPONSIBILITY: Members are responsible for the actions and conduct of themselves,
their dependents, and guests. Members shall be liable to the Club for the value of any and all parts of the
Recreational Property, including facilities here on located, which shall be damaged or removed by them or
their guests or dependents.
6. PETS: Pets are to be kept on leashes at all times and under the control of their owner. Pets may not
enter buildings, swimming pool areas, or other recreational facilities. Noisy or vicious pets are not allowed in
Mountain Lakes Resort. If an animal is unruly, the animal must be removed from the Property.
7. VEHICLES: Vehicles shall be parked in the designated parking area and are not allowed to block the
main roads at any time. Abandoned vehicles without a valid car pass will be towed at the owner’s expense.
All motorized vehicles require a valid driver’s license and bicycles require helmets. PLEASE, FOR THE
SAFETY OF EVERYONE: CHILDREN ARE NOT PERMITTED TO DRIVE GOLF CARTS OR OTHER
MOTORIZED VEHICLES.
8. ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES: NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE PERMITTED ONTO THE
RECREATIONAL PROPERTY AT ANY TIME.
9. NO SMOKING: Due to the health concerns of others, smoking is NOT ALLOWED inside or at the
entrance doorways of any Mountain Lakes Club facility. This includes E-cigarettes and Vaping. Smoking is
permitted outside in Club designated areas only.
